Your guide
Hello, I’m David. I love trees, moss, lichens, mushrooms and sharing a smile with as many people as I can every day.
Growing up in Norfolk, I was fortunate to explore the wild landscapes of the Norfolk broads and North Norfolk coast. I spent my childhood hunting for spiders, beetles and any other creepy crawlies in the garden and going for long family walks in the woods.
I started Reveal Nature to fulfill a dream of sharing the joy of nature with as many people as possible. I love creating “Wow” moments and helping people see the many hidden worlds we normally walk straight past.
I am a certified Forest Bathing Guide and Forest Therapy Practitioner, having completed my training with The Forest Therapy Hub. I also hold an up to date ITC 16 hour Outdoor First Aid Certificate.
Indigenous knowledge
Over the past 15 years, I have had the privilege of exploring various ways of connecting with the natural world. Through studying and practising forest bathing, leading expeditions, landscape and macro photography, permaculture design, food forest design, meditation, and aromatherapy I have gained a deeper appreciation for the wonders of nature.
I have been blessed to spend time living with a number of indigenous tribes around the world who have inspired my practice. The Penan tribe in Borneo were like living examples of the benefits of nature connection and having a deep relationship with the natural world. They taught me how to move through the forest silently, hear distant sounds, pick up on the scents left by animals and be present in every moment.
Alongside Reveal Nature, I am also the founder of a non-profit organisation called Nomadic Lion. Our mission is to walk across countries to share happiness and joy with all. With nothing more than a backpack and a belief in the goodness of humanity, we have walked more than 10,000 km across six different countries, for various causes.
In awe of nature
I am continuously fascinated by discovering new and innovative ways to view nature, and it is my hope that through Reveal Nature, I can help others deepen their connection with the natural world. Nature provides us with so much to be inspired by on a daily basis, through each and every season.
There is nothing more fulfilling than seeing someone’s face light up in wonder and awe when they experience the miniature world of nature through a magnifying glass or witness biofluorescence for the first time. Nature is full of magic just waiting to be discovered.
I look forward to sharing the wonder and beauty of nature and that incredible feeling of awe it inspires with you.
